The game in its early stages: only the background, lights, and the player have been added. The player model, the spaceship, was created in 3DStudioMax as my first project of this course.
At this point in the design process I've scripted a scoring system for my game as well as created the waves of asteroids the player needs to destroy. During this stage I also scripted in a restart button in order to play the game multiple times in a row.
This is a sample of the scripts used in the Space Shooter game. This is a piece of the player script; this script controls player movement, shots fired, and scoring as well as other components.

These pictures show part of the process for building the Space Shooter game. The game was built in Unity and used Visual Studio for the scripts. The player model was designed in 3DStudioMax during the Spaceship project.
